Job Description:
SYSTEM DIRECTOR / MEADOWBROOK , PA
The System Director is responsible for the overall management of the Hospitality Department in an acute care, skilled nursing and retirement community system. You will manage the department within the established objectives, standards, policies and procedures, utilizing the principles of Flik Lifestyles as the guiding philosophy in the day to day running of the department and execution of the job description with federal, state and local regulations. You will be financially accountable for the hospitality department operating within the approved budget, while providing the Client with the maximum value spent. In addition, the director will foster strong interdepartmental relations and integrate the hospitality department with the facility plan of operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an environment that is in sanitary, attractive and in orderly condition
- Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise functions and activities of the system
- Conducts regular management staff meetings and communicates with members of other departments to coordinate multidepartmental activities
- Maintains the department in an “inspection ready” state at all times, assuring the department operates within federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintains excellent relations with patients, residents, client , and all system departments
- Serves on system committees and professional organizations as requested
- Insures that competency in the position is maintained by participating in Community Works and outside training programs, as required
- Follows all Client and community policies and procedures
- Promotes the professional growth and development of the entire team and the department employees at all times
- Implements change to the hospitality service program that enhances the desirability of the system for current and future patients / residents.
- Maintains appropriate security for all Client-owned property, supplies, and operating funds

Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in hospitality field or related experience required
- Minimum of ten (10) years of hospitality experience preferred, depending upon formal degree or training
- Seven (7) plus years of direct hospitality operational management experience
- Extensive hotel hospitality management experience highly desirable
- Healthcare and Senior living experience highly desirable
- Excellent customer services skills and experiences
- Experience with Federal & State healthcare surveys
- Experience with P&L accountability required
- Contract-managed service experience is desirable
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check (Federal & State) and drug screening
