Job Description:
The HRIS Department provides many services to all areas within Compass Group. These services include reporting on HR and payroll data, HR related system implementations, the integration of associates from legacy systems to our SAP HR/Payroll system, and organizational management functions supporting Compass’ manager self-service portal . HRIS is a service-based department; the Analyst will work directly with stakeholders across the organization to provide system awareness, best practices, and develop innovative and integrated employee system reports and solutions.
The Analyst role will focus on data analysis and reporting as well as providing Tier 2 support for inquiries related to organizational management. Also, as the organizational structure serves as the basis for many of the company’s other computer applications, this role will participate in other initiatives and projects which leverage this structure. The position will utilize best business practices in conjunction with technology and system procedures to produce a more efficient work output. Day to day responsibilities include the design, creation, testing and distribution of Human Resources and Payroll related reports and interfaces from the SAP HR system as well as other systems to support Corporate and Field Operations as well as external customers such as government agencies. This position will also work with the HRIS team to achieve departmental and company goals.
Responsibilities:
- Proficient in data pulls (from SAP primarily) into databases and/or tables, validating data integrity, and producing clear reports
- Experienced in detailed, technical design of databases and relational reporting
- Contributory to the development of departmental standard practices and processes
- Competent in providing technical guidance, problem solving skills, and solution alternatives to other team members
- Effective at organizing and planning, able to prioritize work in a fast paced environment
- Able to meet agreed deadlines
- Skilled in system data accuracy/integrity analysis and functionality testing
- Driven to provide superior customer service; excellent interpersonal skills
- Service-oriented, collaborative approach to internal customer and peer relationships
- Effective in identifying customers’ data needs and making consultative recommendations to customer for content and details of reports.
- Open to support from the HRIS team in seeking methods to increase efficiencies and productivity of the position and team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- HR business related experience (HR, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, etc)
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work in a fast paced environment
- Experience querying databases using SQL or another query language
- Extensive background in creating and maintaining Access databases (ability to import files, join tables and queries together, as well as create complex queries from scratch, making use of If statements and where conditions)
- Intermediate to advanced level Excel skills with the ability to create formulas, calculations, pivot tables and charts reading information from multiple excel tabs (including hidden tabs and hidden data)
- Ability to analyze data for accuracy and integrity
- Proficiency in other Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience working with SAP data is preferred.
- Strong desire to provide superior customer service.
- Also expected to assist other HRIS team members through problem solving, identifying alternative processes to bring efficiencies to all team members’ tasks.
- Expected to be open to support from the HRIS team to explore methods to increase efficiencies and productivity of the position.
