This is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to become a leader in a great company and growing corporation. In this position you will plan, organize, and control space planning, deferred maintenance, and renovations of spaces and construction management.
Responsibilities:
- Review, evaluate and recommend EVS programs.
- Communication with hospital staff, community groups, agencies, contractors, architects and engineers to plan, organize, and coordinate programs and services.
- Monitors flow and quality of work.
- Prepare bid documents, specifications, cost estimates, budgets, schedules and savings.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of departmental records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, State Health Department, and all other authorities having jurisdiction.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor department.
- Oversee day to day department activities and maintain all appropriate logs.
Qualifications:
- Two year or Four year Degree or military or work experience in a related field required.
- Five years EVS mgmt experience in a Hospital health care institution preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of EVS principles, practices and procedures, applicable laws and government regulations, principles of management.
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
- Must possess a working knowledge of JCAHO, Patient Satisfaction/HCAPS.
- Ability to travel throughout the Southeast Region 85% of the time.
- Must live close to a major airport in the Southeast Region.
