The mission of the Director of Visual Merchandising and Style is to refresh existing dining facilities to improve financial success and profitability. This is achieved by designing, developing and managing a visual makeover to various locations and by introducing new methods for merchandising food. To create a sensory pleasing experience through enhancement of presentation, product, and people this results in positive results and financial growth of the company
As the chief point of contact for food presentation standards and corporate image initiatives for facility look and feel, they will generally be responsible for communicating key information that is vital to the success of the location. They will help to train the team about minor design concept changes, visual display standards, and the proper maintenance of the overall visual display effort. By providing on-the-job training, feedback, and recognition, they will motivate other members of the onsite team to actively support these visual image efforts that will engage customers and help stimulate additional sales.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with Corporate Leadership; Operations, Culinary, Marketing and the regional and onsite team and when needed outside consultants
Create and manage timelines and schedules with minimal supervision
Assist the onsite team with the management of individual projects from start to finish including budgeting/schedules and site visits
Recommend and source new materials and resources
Assist with the execution of the brand integrity of the company
Participate in walk through site visits with management to ensure seamless execution of all visual standards
Communicate location deficiencies i.e. lighting fixtures, food presentation vehicles and visual standards
Job requirements:
1 to 2 years of retail management, marketing or merchandising experience; creative design skills a plus.
Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment
Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
Goal oriented: ability to stay focused on creating winning results
Hours/days of work vary due to the demands of the business
70% travel
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to see creative vision through from inception to completion
Must be enthusiastic about product and categories and be motivating in presentation and communication style
Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to organize complex information and manage multiple projects
Ability to work independently with high sense of urgency while supporting company goals and objectives
Perform other duties as assigned
