Job Description:
As Assistant Manager, you will assist in the overall management of the Environmental Services/Housekeeping Department on Campus. You will help manage the department within the established objectives, standards, policies and procedures. You will assist the director in being financially accountable for the environmental service/housekeeping department operating within the approved budget, while providing the Client with the maximum value spent. In addition, the supervisor will foster interdepartmental relations and integrate the environmental service department with the facility plan of operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an environment that is in sanitary, attractive and in orderly condition
- Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise functions and activities of the department
- Conducts regular management staff meetings and communicates with members of other departments to coordinate housekeeping activities
- Maintains the department in an “inspection ready” state at all times, assuring the department operates within federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintains excellent relations with Customers, Clients, Students and all Campus departments
- Follows all Campus and community policies and procedures
- Promotes the professional growth and development of the entire team and the department employees at all times
- Implements change to the environmental service program that enhances the desirability of the Campus for current and future students.
Qualifications:
- Three (3) plus years of direct EVS/Housekeeping operational experience
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of EVS/Housekeeping experience in a professional environment preferred, depending upon formal degree or training
- Excellent customer services skills and experiences
- Contract-managed service experience is desirable
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check (Federal & State) and drug screening
