Job Description:


Compass Group, the world’s largest contract foodservice company, has a Great Opportunity for career development and growth here at its North America headquarters in Charlotte, NC as an HRIS Functional Analyst within Compass Group’s North America Division’s Business Systems department.


The HRIS team at Compass is responsible for a portfolio of systems and 3rd party vendor relationships. Compass is looking for an experienced functional HRIS professional who will play a key role in the configuration and support these systems as well as contribute as a subject matter expert on various HR related projects.


Responsibilities:



  • Participate in all HRIS assigned activities, including process definition and design, documentation, configuration, application testing, as well as some project management and internal communication activities as needed.

  • Work with project team and implementation partners to support deliverables and organizational objectives.

  • Conduct gap analysis, provide impact assessments, and make recommendations that offer workable, efficient options to users.

  • Produce high quality documentation, including business requirements, procedural documentation, operational and process flow documents, and test scripts.

  • Ensure requirements and specifications documentation reach signoff and validate deliverables to specifications.

  • Perform system configurations and updates as system administrator. Maintain accurate and updated configuration documentation.

  • Define specifications, support, and monitor applicable integrations (with both core systems and 3rd party vendors).

  • Provide updates to management, project managers and project teams. Escalate issues and risks appropriately and timely.

  • Manage one or more system areas and modules by evaluating the current system’s functional configuration and proactively locate and correct potential problems.

  • Stay informed and up to date on product release schedules and enhancement activities. Work with the appropriate business, HRIS, and vendor resources to define timelines, plans, and activities to support these changes.

  • Provide second level support for all HR system products.

  • Work with team members and vendors to meet defined service level agreements.

  • Test and support products during scheduled ‘off business hours’ system outages.


Qualifications:



  • Committed and enthusiastic approach to supporting business customers in a systems environment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in system conversions, implementations, integrations with ERP and 3rd party solutions, and all SDLC activities.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Strong understanding of HRIS and ERP systems (SAP and Talent Management products preferred)

  • Experience with change controls and release management (in both test and production environments).

  • 2+ years experience supporting and/or configuring systems or SaaS applications.

  • Experience in application test planning and test execution.

  • Knowledge of all HR business processes, including HR laws and data privacy standards.

  • Effective organizational and planning skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently to complete tasks.

  • Availability to perform maintenance and testing tasks during off business hours.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Information Systems, or significant equivalent experience is required

  • Previous experience with SAP, applicant tracking, talent management, and learning management system products desired.
